The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) is a state-chartered public agency. It provides the largest stock of affordable housing in Los Angeles and is one of the nation's leading public housing authorities. It is also one of the oldest, providing quality housing options and supportive services to the citizens of Los Angeles since 1938.

The Eviction Defense Network is a network of trial lawyers, advocates and tenants dedicated to defending the right to affordable housing and ensuring access to justice in housing matters to tenants in Los Angeles County.

The Inner City Law Center (ICLC) serves tenants living in slum housing conditions and the homeless population on L.A.'s Skid Row.

Stay Housed L.A. is a partnership between the County of Los Angeles, the City of Los Angeles and local community and legal service providers. Stay Housed LA provide tenants with the information and support needed to exercise their rights so that they can remain safely in their homes.

HUD's Multifamily programs provide mortgage insurance to HUD- approved lenders to facilitate the construction, substantial rehabilitation, purchase and refinancing of multifamily housing projects and healthcare facilities.
